It All Began
Our Director was forced into the prematurity world of NICU when his daughter was born on July 11th, 2004. Sitting there wondering if he would ever hold his daughter, he studied, learned, read, and studied even more. Nothing was going to be thrown on him without him knowing. Question upon question he threw at the doctors and nurses sponging the answers into his brain. He had to have the knowledge, he was not going to make one WRONG decision that affects the life of his first-born child! As you can see, the picture of a NICU baby is not your normal newborn pictures.

Along the way, he watched families and babies come and go, some of them with the obvious lost look that he could have had if he was not prepared. Our Director has been blessed with the ability to learn when people helped him and he then could spend all his time learning and studying. He understood every move the doctors made, every step in his child’s life.

Not everyone is going to get this ability, life is busy. Life does not always go by a script, if it did, most of you would not be in a NICU. Our Director wants to make sure every family that has to go through prematurity will be helped.

This all began with the website of his daughter, www.JonnasJourney.com and this foundation will allow every premature family to have their own daily journal and daily picture of their own. For details, email info@earlyjourneyfoundation.org today and have an area to keep your extended family informed about your baby.
